Laboratory

Since blood flows throughout the body, acting as a medium for providing oxygen and nutrients, and drawing waste products back to the excretory systems for disposal, the state of the bloodstream affects, or is affected by, many medical conditions. The Hansen Family Hospital Laboratory is integral to your health care team as they collect specimens and report results to your health care provider for diagnosis and treatment of a variety of health conditions. The lab is open from 7 am - 4:00 pm with technicians on call after hours for emergencies. Our laboratory runs a broad spectrum of tests including:

  • DOT Drug Screenings
  • Blood Profiles
  • Blood Chemistry
  • Hematology
  • Microbiology
  • Blood Bank
  • Urinalysis
  • Endocrinology
  • Blood Gases
  • Paternity Testing Collection
  • Transfusion Services
  • Coagulation
  • Cancer Screening
  • Phlebotomy & Courier Services

What is Fasting?
The food we eat impacts many levels in our blood. Fasting ensures a method to standardize results for the health care provider to make the best decision for the best outcome. Fasting means no food ingested for 10-12 hours prior to blood draw.
