The Hansen Family Hospital Foundation is proud to announce the successful conclusion of its 2026 Summer Meal Program, which provided free, nutritious meals to children across the Iowa Falls-Alden community school district throughout the summer months.
Running from June 2nd to August 7th, the program served 21,614 meals to 3,138 children, ensuring that local youth had access to healthy food through the summer. The initiative was made possible through the support of 315 dedicated staff, volunteers, and community partners. Their generous commitment played a vital role in making the program a success.
The Summer Meal Program is part of a nationwide effort supported by the USDA and local organizations to ensure that no child goes hungry when school is not in session.
Since its establishment in 2001, the Hansen Family Hospital Foundation has been committed to its mission of fostering charitable partnerships that enhance healthcare for those we have the privilege to serve. The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors made up of members of the community, local businesses, and representatives from the medical staff, administration, Board of Directors, and employees of Hansen Family Hospital.
