Endocrinology Telehealth
Endocrinology encompasses the study and treatment of the endocrine system including the thyroid, pancreas, adrenals, and pituitary glands. With only approximately 8,000 endocrinologists currently practicing in the United States, a significant imbalance remains between patients who need endocrinology care and the specialists who are available to provide it.
Amanjot Singh Lehil, MD, is Hansen Family Hospital's telehealth visiting endocrinologist and sees patients twice a month in Iowa Falls.
Provider referral not required if previously established with another endocrinologist.
Appointments can be scheduled by calling Hansen Family Hospital.

How does telehealth work?
Telemedicine appointments at Hansen Family Hospital are very similar to those of other services at our organization. Appointments will be completed on-site at the hospital.
Patients will check in with our registration team at the Specialty desk upon arrival and will then be escorted by our nursing staff to an exam room for a confidential appointment. There, patients will speak with Dr. Lehil directly via a secure monitor.
Telehealth allows for:
- A full examination with the on-site nurse
- Identification of specialty-related diseases
- Management of chronic disease
- Direct necessary follow-up care
- Diagnosis and treatment discussions directly with the patient
