Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) Services
An ear, nose, and throat (ENT) provider, or otolaryngologist, is a medical specialist who diagnoses and treats conditions affecting the ears, nose, throat, and related structures of the head and neck. Visiting Otolaryngologist, Cori Walker, MD, sees patients of all ages multiple times a month at Hansen Family Hospital.
The conditions Dr. Walker manages range from common issues like ear infections to more complex problems like hearing loss, sleep apnea, and head and neck cancers.
Early treatment can also improve a person's quality of life by restoring their ability to hear and improving their breathing along with sleep quality. For young children, hearing disorders could lead to developmental delays in speech.
Provider referral not required. When calling to schedule, please request Iowa Falls as the appointment location.

ENT Surgical Procedures
Adenoidectomy
An adenoidectomy is a surgical procedure to remove the adenoids, a patch of tissue behind the nose, to improve chronic ear infections, sleep apnea, or breathing issues. It's a quick procedure often combined with a tonsillectomy.
Ear Tube Placement
Children who suffer from repeat ear infections or fluid in the ear may benefit from ear tubes. Ear tubes are plastic inserts that are surgically placed in the eardrum under general anesthesia. The insertion of ear tubes can help allow air to enter the middle ear, allow fluid out of the ear, prevent future buildup of fluid, and restore hearing
Frenectomy
A frenectomy is a quick, minor oral surgery to release a tight frenum (tissue band) under the tongue (tongue-tie) or inside the lip (lip-tie) to improve movement.
Lesion Excision of the Scalp, Face, Neck, and Ears
Lesion excision of the scalp, face, neck, and ears involves surgically removing abnormal skin growths to determine if they're benign or cancerous.
Tonsillectomy
A tonsillectomy is a surgical procedure to remove the tonsils, often due to recurrent infections or obstructive sleep apnea.
